Institute had organised drawing competition on 24 th May, 2022 amongst 2 nd semester students on the topic “Dance forms of Kerala”. Through the said activity IHM Shimla students tried to learn culture and dance forms of paired IHM i.e. Kerala through drawing. In this activity students had tried to draw the various dance forms of the paired state. They observed the concisely description of various dance forms like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kolkali, Koodiyattam, Oppana etc. Mr. Aditya Kumar, student of 1 st year in B.sc. In H&HA stood first in the said competition. He has been awarded with college diary and pen. This activity has been shared in all IHM Shimla’s social media platform.

There was a live demonstration and presentation with students of IHM Ahmedabad. There was a presentation of information about the various types of millets from Chhattisgarh and their uses in the specialty dishes of Chhattisgarh. The benefits of the millets, their uses and the initiative of the government in enhancing the production of millets were informed to the students. Students were given handouts about the same. It was a very knowledgeable discussion giving the insights on the nutritional benefits of millets. Active Participation with audience and a lots of interaction made the activity a pleasant and learning experience.
